Interested in Tutoring High School Students? Help Pittsburgh Students make up required courses this Summer! NLA is running Credit Recovery programs Monday-Friday, 9-2pm at community sites in Oakland, Hill District, North Side, and West End. Programs run from now until early August. The first step is to meet for a brief volunteer orientation and placement meeting!

Communities succeed when children read! Help the kids in your life develop a love of reading and support a community of young readers in Hazelwood by becoming a library Reading Buddy. All volunteers will be invited to attend a Reading Buddies Workshop where you’ll learn the best ways to encourage kids to love reading and learning. After the Workshop, you’ll be able to volunteer your time reading to local kids at Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh- Hazelwood. There is no specific date set for this opportunity.
School for Friends (http://www.schoolforfriends.org/) provides a loving, caring, and supportive program for children ages two to five. Our curriculum has reflected the Quaker values of cooperation, equality, and nonviolence. Our auction is the evening of November 15, 2015. We need 3-5 volunteers comfortable with technology to assist users with the auction software throughout the night.
