Gives (you) credit where credit is due:

SweatMonkey lets you easily keep a record of all your hard work. The site's hour tracking, verification, and crediting system is self-running: You do your part, and then it's on to the next party (the community organization or faculty) for their next move. Last but not least, your "transcript" of hours can be synced with your school records systems.

Easily keeps a journal that works hard for you.

Yes, you can easily add your hours to a time log – and get them verified and approved -- but the real value of a student volunteer experience is asking you to note what you've learned, how you've contributed, and in what ways did your work make a difference to your community organization's end goals? Journal comments are optional, and can be shared, or kept private. Students can also get feedback throughout the process from faculty or organizations. All of this helps you figure out what you might want to study in college, or what careers you might want to pursue. It also may give you a good connection (or reference) for your first job.

Writing a good resume isn't easy. (But clicking a button for one is.)

At the push of a button, SweatMonkey's Customizable Resume Generator creates a "service-learning" résumé that's a document of all the ways your work and experience contributed to a greater cause. You'll look good on paper, and this document that can be used to look for a job, apply to college, impress your grandmother, or meet your graduation requirements. It works at any moment in your experience and updates as you gain skills.
