On-The-Job Training / Co-curricular Programs

On-The-Job Training (OJT) or Delta Epsilon Chi (DECA) programs are designed to enhance academic curricula with work ethic and leadership skills training.

We sweat the details so you don't have to. SweatMonkey's all-on-one collaborative network makes it to easy to administer your school's On the Job Training (OJT) or DECA's (Delta Epsilon Chi) young leaders and entrepreneur program.

Here's how it works:

  • Students enter their paying jobs, including employer details.
  • Students log hours for each day on weekly time cards.
  • At faculty-determined intervals, students submit their record to their employer manager who reviews their submissions and accepts or rejects the claimed hours.
  • Faculty then instantly receive these manager-approved submissions for oversight and accreditation.
  • At any time, an instructor can access full reports of all hours in all statuses (entered, pending, verified, and credited), by student, by job, and by time range.
  • Faculty also have the ability to form an unlimited number of groups to house their students, and these groups can be designated to have one more administrator.
  • No problem if the employer isn't web-savvy. There's an Offline Submission option so students can print a copy of their hours to be physically signed and turned in.

What is DECA?

Delta Epsilon Chi (DECA) prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.

Their mission is to enhance a student's preparation for college and careers by providing co-curricular programs that integrate classroom instruction and learning in the context of real-world business; promote competition; and connect students to business and the larger community.

The DECA experience is designed to help students become more academically-prepared, community-oriented, professionally-responsible, and experienced leaders.

SweatMonkey facilitates both programs by making it easy and streamlined for students to log and track hours, gain approval, and establish credit for their hard work.

With SweatMonkey, it's simple for students, employers, faculty, and schools to collaborate without delays or logistical snags in the process – and to keep all job tracking and feedback processes perfectly up-to-date, in real-time.
