Haven Hospice serves people and their communities affected by life-limiting illness and lsos by providing comprehensive, compassionate care while respecting each person's needs, beliefs and wishes.
Haven Hospice began in 1979 at alachua General Hospital with one part-time nurse and five Auxiliary members. In 1985 it became and medicare provider and in 2005 changed the name to Haven Hospice. Haven Hospice has 7 offices and serves 18 counties. Haven is North Central Florida;s expert in end-of-life and palliative care. In 2007 and 2008 was a Circle of Life Award honoree and is recognized as a Florida Pacesetter for its leadrship in promoting living wills.
